How fast does googlebot crawl?

    Does it crawl 1 page per second or is it faster than that?

    I think it's much slower than that, Google always stays ages on my websites. It's like it gets addicted to my websites as soon as it visits them :).

    You can choose how fast googlebot should crawl your website in Webmaster Tools..

    I think it takes about 3 seconds to crawl a page on a website..

    well i think it depends on site accessibility (i.e how fast is your server response etc )I think the entire process take 1-10s/page

    I've also chosen the fastest speed for googlebot to crawl NeedFreelance.. Takes about 2500ms to crawl each page.

    Well.......as i have seen its approx 3sec/page or more depending on structure or acessibility of the particular page......and also there's an option how fast you want from googlebot to crawl your page....

    Its all depends on the speed of your server (whatever speed your server gives google crawls it with that speed) but about general idea it is approximately 5pages/second.
