This question was probably beaten to death on this forum, but I couldn't find anything relevant. If I use some of my own images instead of the advertisers, how tolerant CJ is about it? As you know a lot of advertisers banners look terrible. I want them to fit my websites nicely. I read in the TOS that CJ asks to refrain from using your own images (banners), but refraining doesn't mean we are prohibited to do so. Does anyone know an answer to this? Thanks in advance!
You really should stick to the merchant's banners to avoid any issues because they may have certain things they can or can't say legally in their marketing pieces, ie banners, creatves...So you can contact the affiliate manager and ask them to design some banners for you. You can always design your landing pages as you wish and use text links for the click-thoughs.
Thank you for the reply. I was actually thinking about contacting one advertiser about creating a few smaller banners. They have these HUGE banners that don't fit anything. I think I will just stick to the TOS and use whatever is offered. Thanks again!
