American Student goes to Palestine to help only to find out the truth

The Israelis have bulldozed houses with families in them and shot protesters. In their "defense" of Israel, they have cut off supplies to Gaza, to apparently root out the insurgents.

Hamas continues to launch unguided, cheap missiles into Israel to terrorize Israeli citizens. They also convince young people to blow themselves and many innocent people up for the sake of martyrdom.

The point I'm trying to make is that both are guilty of atrocities. Unfortunately, it is within living memory what the Nazis did to the Jewish people. Why are so many Israelis seemingly forgetting what it's like to have their own people starved or buried alive.

I'm sure it's not as simple as that and our feelings would be different if we could live as a Palestinian and an Israeli for a long period of time.

It's so often a select few people that determine the fate of so many others. A select few stir up the emotions of others, commit the worst crimes, and ultimately pray upon the innocent who just want a safe place for their families.

Good points. If you are actually in Croatia, I'm sure you know very well what it's like to have centuries' old racial and cultural hatred between groups of people. You probably know many people who have died because of it.

It's sad that we, as a people, can't forget our ancestors' hatred and put things to rest. Why can't we learn to cooperate and help one another.

Isreal is the homeland of the Jews, but if the Arabs resided in it in majority, why can the Jews just not co-exist with them? It'd just like all the other multi-cultural nations you have out there.

Jews and Arabs about 100 years ago used to live in full peace and harmony; it's only when Zionists wanted their own state now instead of waiting for God to give it to them that this all happened.

You have to remember that the Jews are an exiled people as mentioned in the Torah, and therefore you cannot claim a land for yourselves until God gives it to you. This means that when you get your land, you won't have to pump billions of dollars into your military, because God will rightfully make the land yours and make that clear to everyone.

 

I am not sure what type of title documents you expect God to provide, but I think possession and a military to hold it might be a sign which way he leans on the issue of who should have the land now.

Maybe God is just taunting Muslims and teasing the Jews by letting them have Israel for a little while?

I am from Croatia and my parents are from Bosnia so I know what it's like to live in hate that last for centuries. It's not too much different in ME because I hear same rhetoric here and there and everyone is "right" and just "defending" them selfs.

Islam demands that, once it conquers a country and turns it from Dar al Harb to Dar al Islam, all residents of that county submit to Islamic Law.

They don't have to convert, they just have to submit. "Islam", after all, does mean "Submission."

This would totally and completely destroy the freedom from which Israeli citizens of all religions currently benefit.

If you rape a women in front of her three daughter, there are no legal witnesses and you cannot be convicted under Islamic Law.)
