I have not even upgraded to IE7 because I'm not happy with the way it works for me.

I'd advise not to use IE at all... It has some serious problem which I think many web developers know about (example: IE 6 does not support transparent PNG :eek:crazy)... Use Firefox or even better, imho, Opera. :)

I've heard this many times before and right you are!
My browser suggestions are Firefox and Opera, these two deserve to reign the world of browsers.

Of course all new products are not 100% bug free. It sometimes have glitch that's why if error occurs they have a warning to send feedback or something like that...

And by the way if IE is not good go for Firefox :D

Besides its beta IE8 has better standards than IE7 (and BTW IE6 sucked at standars... any designer with a basic knowledge of CSS can tell it is a nightmare). Firefox is fine but no browser is 100% standard right now (passing the ACID test)... so we have several issues:

    • IE8 is Beta so even with IE7 emulation will not work at 100%
    • Neither Firefox or IE7 are ACID compliant
    • If IE8 runs in standard mode pages that are made to fit non-standard browsers will render bad

    Designers: prepare for more adjustments.

May want to research that again. Opera has passed the Acid2 test for a while now.

O c'mon! Do you really think that the makers of Vista could make anything good? And if even BETA then omg - Why you even CONSIDER using it?

Same here... I went back to IE6 because I wanted to see how my website looked since I have.PNGs and the fix for it.

Hahahhaah :D doubt I will even consider going to IE8 :D

I'ma take back some of what I previously said about this beta, I just rebooted again, and out of interest retried it, and so far it's been pretty good. Main issues are slow typing and that it's not quite rendering right :|

I just installed IE7 about a month ago. Mainly for testing. As for FireFox, I don't see why so many people think it's the greatest browser ever. It's a nice browser if you don't install any plugins but as soon as you have some of the web developer plugins, it gets clunky and crashes more than IE does.

I prefer Opera on a PC and Safari on Mac
    > then Camino > then FireFox > then IE
