    Hi!

    I have a question:

    At CJ web site, is it really important do not modify the entire link provided by GET HTML section???

    I mean, when i click GET HTML CODE, usually i see 3 codes for products, this is an example:

    <a href="http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-XXXXXX-XXXXXXXX?url=http%3A%2F%2Fxxxx.xxxxxxxxx.com%2Fusa%2Fxxxx.php%3Fpid%3D69%26tr1%3DAQ_US_AF_CJ_Cat&xxxxxxxxxx" target="_top"> WHATEVER I WANT TO WRITE HERE </a>

    <img src="http://www.ftjcfx.com/image-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX" width="1" height="1" border="0"/>

    (I've modified the example)

    In this example, i think the real address i have to promote is the long URL inmediately after "a href="... is this correct???

    Can i provide that link with any other context code??? or i have to maintain all code without any modification???

    I make this cuestion because i don't know what does image source code do...

    I've put the image source URL in my browser and there isn't any image there but there's a note from CJ when i try to get the HTML code for any product, and this note says:

    "Copy and paste the following HTML code into your web pages.
    You must include all the above html in your links. Any missing html, including the image source, will prevent the link from tracking properly and result in a loss of commissions."

    By following this, i can't modify the image source code and EVEN i can't modify the text link (where i wrote "WHATEVER I WANT TO WRITE HERE")... Can't i modify EVEN this???

    About the image source URL, there isn't any image there and i saw that the real item image (what i want to sell) is in a diferent URL located in a folder in advertiser's domain.

    My question is: Can't i modify the ENTIRE code, incluiding the text link and deleting the image source code that have my PID and AID number???

    I was trying to make my own publishing, using the advertiser product image but making my own design and obviously linking my design with the href URL, is this incorrect???.

    Thank you in advance for all you expert guys and sorry for my english, it's not my natal language.

    Reinaldo.

    yes you can modify. for example if you direct link using ppc you only want the link plus your id.

    as long as cj receive http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-XXXXXX-XXXXXXXX where the first xxxxxx is the advertisers id and and second xxxxxxxx is your pid cj will be able to track correctly.

    OK, thank you... If i'm promoting an specific item, i think must be anything else, right??? the complete URL, because, with that kind of URL, as you wrote, i can promote advertiser's web site, without depending of the item bought by the customer since the URL's as you wrote have just advertiser's id and publisher's ID, without identyfying the product or service bouth by the final customer. Is this correct???

    Thank you.

    I have same question here.

    The 'image' is used to calculate the page impressions in my opinion.

    Could we only redirect to the affiliate url without 'image' like this?
    <?php
    header( 'Location: http://www.affiliate-url.com/' ) ;
    ?>

    Thanks!

    yes.

    some advertisers also allow deep linking. cj will generate a code which will take you to any page on the advertisers site that you wish. to find out you need to look for an input filed which says "Destination URL" in there you put the exact url that you want to link to and then cj will give you the code for your link.

    I'm sure that the cookie would be created after visiting the destination page which of course, comes from visiting the clickable link.
