Alexa is not a good source to see if a website is growing or not...

ROFL alexa - you seriously cant consider alexa as a gauge for a sites growth, honestly, for whatever reason it seems to help sell sites, some people even swear by it - alexa means nothing, the ACTUALL uniques is the important factor.

I'll join this bandwagon. Alexa is not as big a tool as Mightyb. The biggest tool of them all.

I have a new blog with barely 100 post and alexa ranks me as 511,106 - It's a good blog, but should not be that far that fast.

    Mightyb,

Just to beat the dead horse 'cause I got nothing better do. Alexa rank is inacurate. Never heard anyone put any faith in it as a seo metric.

Ignoring the Alexa debate for a moment, one "decline" I've noticed (and have regretted) is the departure of a good number of respected posters from the Directories > Solicitations forum since Google's crackdown on paid links. Come on back, guys! We miss you.
