After creating a new page on one of my sites it was indexed and ranked by Google within... 2 minutes or even less than that! I remember a few years ago i had to wait for days to get indexed.
maybe your site have high page rank because if you have high page rank your new page will indexed within 1 hour
No, page rank has nothing to do with indexing. Google looks at how frequently your content changes. This is what determines the spidering frequency.
On the other hand : Google could think it is a "news" site - quick indexing, good positions for a while but then dropping down the list after some days / weeks again.

blogs get indexed quicker than regular sites. this is because google is trying to catch up with technorati, who have been indexing blogs at lightning speed for years.
Actually google usually crawl my blogs for at least 2mins. PR also helps in this process because high PR is also known as trusted sites.
Did you submit your site's sitemap,it could be very fast to be indexed if you submit your site to google.
My blog is like some days old not even 1 month old ... but my articles get indexed with in seconds ... Google rocks
Google is indexing the sites faster if compared then the previous periods this can be the change in the Google indexing algorithm for sure.
G indexing web pages in Real-Time, blog get indexed even more fast, but few indexing does not remain longer.
