PR 3 to 4 and now nothing

I have been racking my brain to figure what happened to my site page
    rank.
I know people say it does not matter but I am trying to sell pages to local businesses in my Hot Spots! section and it does matter.
My sites front page was between 3 and 4 and most of my interior pages
had some type of rank even if it was a 1. Now there is no ranking for
any of my pages and my blog. This has been this way for about a month now.
Someone said that the links to the peoples web sites in the Hot Spots! section made my page drop. Maybe Google thought I was selling links or something (?) today I changed those links to NO FOLLOW.

Could this maybe be what the problem was?

Is there something I have done wrong? I really do not know alot about
all this stuff so someone please give me some advice. I need to live on what this web site makes so it is very important.

Oh, by the way, I am still listed in Google search and am still getting the normal amount of hits to my site. It is only there is no page rank.
    My site is: http://www.colonialzone-dr.com

I was reading just today from Aaron Wall's SEO Book that too many links can actually hurt your rankings, and probably PR too. It was said that an unnecessary amount of links can be picked up by search engines. Just at initial glance I see a lot of links there and that could be a potential problem.

I have some links pages but most of my pages have a normal amount of links, I think.
I have not changed any of the links stuff and that was always fine. The links pages didn't do well in the searches anyhow. They are just there for peoples reference.
Its just the complete drop in page rank (all pages 0) that has me baffled. I am still #1 when you search "colonial zone" and the pages I have that were high in Google search are all still there ie: Mirabal Sisters, Juan Pablo Duarte, dominican republic monuments, dominican republic cock fighting and so on...

I also encountered that kind of problem before. One of my blog got PR4 for the previous update but now PR is gone. Backlinks is the major factor of PR and that's my fault before because I didn't build links anymore after my blog got PR4.

You know PR can be a strange thing.I had a problem with PR two mounth ago. After promoting my blog for 3 mounth my PR was 4, but a mounth later it decreased to 3. Then the situation changed...You case seems to be special. I've never heard about such an obsticle with PR...

The toolbar doesn't show the latest PR data. Since you are still ranking in the search, I'd say you're PR isn't hurting you. Continue what you've been doing and eventually the toolbar will sort itself out.
