Why are you comparing godaddy.com to name.com? Godaddy has ads on tv!!! name.com is poor!!! so quality is always best!

name.com is cheaper and has free whois protection. Their domain management interface also is not that bad. So I would go with Name.com :)

IMO, large companies tend to pay less attention to customer needs (they become greedy) small companies are willing to work with their customers to ensure satisfactions. Both companies provide the same products at different price tiers, and they bundle add-ons with their products.

If price is an issue then the answer is to go with the cheapest, otherwise look at the service/support offered by each company. I own a domain registration company myself; with that being said I would give both good rating.

    1) name.com (if its is price based)
    2) both are good

    Good Luck

We have worked with enom, networksolutions, directi and godaddy as well as with few more top registrars. GoDaddy is worst :( DirectI is best :) Enom is better :D

    Tried both.
I don't recommend GoDaddy at all
    Name.com gets my vote
(it's the small brother of domainsite.com, they both belong to the same company)

I've never had a problem with GoDaddy. They've always been very responsive to my requests. Can't say the same for Name.com. I only have one domain left at Name.com and it will be transferred off in a week or two.

At the last years with domainsite.com and name.com i also noticed some delays in their replies
However in the long run it's much safer place than GoDaddy's "monopoly"

    Read the www.nodaddy.com

No personal experience with either, but friends of mine who run a forum refuse to have anything to do with godaddy whatsoever. They were not pleased with that company at all.

I actually just noted this in another thread..
I have hundreds of names with Godaddy and have been using them since 2002... I've got no complaints thus far, "knock on wood".

name.com here. I like their interface and their domains are affordable enough.
