hi, I am using domainsite but I had a problem. I purchased a new domain, they billed me 4 times, and it took 2 week to recover that and other problems. So please give me an idea i heard godaddy is not very good? thanks
I recommend moniker as well. Godaddy is OK until you start getting problems which is when they'll start billing you various "administrative" fees.
I've been using godaddy for 3 years. Have gone through 5,000+ domains buying/selling. They are great!
What negative reviews have you heard about godaddy? I too have had no problems with them, plus they are great for finding good discount coupons for domain renewals and registrations!
I would suggest Godaddy i believe they are the best for registering domains, i have been using these for a couple of years now and they definitely have to be the best. Just a question, does paying for a domain not to expire the price i mean, does it change from each registry? Will.
They think they are the internet police and bill if you if they receive any spam reports, even if they're not hosting you! Also, they charge administrative fees if invalid whois information is reported about you & freeze all domains in your account (not just the ones with invalid whois info) until you update the whois information and pay them. All of this happened to me.
thanks for all. I see that everybody suggesting godaddy, so I choose goddady and got my 1st domain at godaddy. Thanks for your advises
I would stay away from godaddy - a well known Personal Development guru had his domains frozen by godaddy because they had a spam report (he uses double opt in). Stay away from GD - I use ikeys.net - cheap easy to use and not one hassle.
I personally had no problems with godaddy until a few weeks ago. I lost a great 4-letter.com name because the auto renew feature did not renew. Lesson learned though, I guess it was my own fault for trusting their auto-renewal system. But I personally prefer FX domains.
I use Namecheap.com and Name.com and so far they work well for me. I think the only issue with GoDaddy is that the order process is quite troublesome for someone new to it as they try to sell you options and add-ons one after the other.
Use Google.. Google has partnered with Godaddy and Enom. You get free private regidstration and your domain will be automatically configured to work with Google apps.
