Does my sidebar opening before content have an effect?

    Hi i was wondering I have my sidebar open before my content DIV on my WordPress as for some reason i need this for the content to float next to it and be fluid.

    Will this have an effect on my SEO, the order the content is presented in the view source?

    I have found that Google seems to be indexing my tags more than my actualy post pages, and think that this may be the reason?

    Probably so. It seems that content higher up on the page (HTML code, not the visual page) is given a bit of a preference.
