That was discussed. But it would still encourage people to inflate post counts by posting "stumbled" or "I dugg you" over and over again.

that is not a problem for post builders, they still have the link sales section...

can someone please take the time to respond why were the services banned too? this seriously affects me, I'm interested to know how this will help the community

We didn't see much difference between the two and agreed that the services should be banned as well.

Just wondering (since my question was not answered earlier). Does this apply to blog commenting (such as wordpress, blogger or typepad blogs)?

cause then there wouldn't be a freebie section at all, It'd just be sorta empty.

I think he means exchanging comments on blogs. "Leave a comment on my blog and I'll leave one on yours". That hasn't been discussed in the mod/admin forums, yet. ;)

what hidden text. I have spent like 15 mins to search for that hidden text, but couldn't find it. :(

EDIT: I am puzzled over one thing. The thread start date is Feb 29th 2008, 10:26 pm. How come I haven't seen it?

In one of my previous posts in this thread I included: .........................

I think that's the hidden text he was referring to.

    Magic:D

(I jumped the gun and posted the thread early - deleted it - then undeleted it today)

I thought it was kind of funny - the thread was only live for 10 seconds before I deleted but I know of at least 1 person who saw it on the spy and I'm sure there were more:)

I was punished accordingly for my preemptive posting:eek:

With all the latest moves being made by you mods. I beginning to think its like some great presidential press conference with the updates in Iraq or something. And you mods have to field silly questions from the media. And many of the questions being repetitive, like they didnt understand the first 50 times of saying NO you cant do that anymore. And no matter how many times they see if they have a loophole to get past the law. Still some dont understand:

    NO is NO is NO
