Whether or not its really necessary, who knows. But is it worth having your Adsense account closed because you don't have one ??

I don't think so and I think it's not for to have your account closed just for that reason... I haven't reviewed the TOS completely though...

Here is the exact wording from the TOS.....

"You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your user’s browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management."

To me, that pretty much says that as part of the TOS, you must have a privacy policy in place on your site(s).

Are you supposed to put the privacy policy on the homepage of your site? Or on every single page? That could get very tedious. :)

I think having a link to your privacy policy from your home page should be fine.

Just create a separate page and link it from your footer..

Since Google now requires it, I would say that yes - it is necessary!

a lot of networks wont accpet publishers without one. Just google it to find a decent template on how to write one.

blog/sites - whichever you use to display adsense ad will need to have PP

usually a ite have a follter link space where copywrite/sitemap/disclaimer etc are placed. those links are usualy sitewide. if you have that kinda site structure, then you can put the PP there. otherwise putting it in the home page will be ok i guess

I would also place one, not worth having your account banned just because of this.

Do I have to translate my privacy policy into other languages for sites that are not in English? Like I have a site in my own language, so do I have to translate?
And is it OK to have my privacy policy uploaded to the root of one domain, and link to it from my other sites (and not upload a privacy to every domain I own)?
