Hello, I am debating which Joomla to get. I like the fact that there is more stuff(modules,extensions) for 1.0x, but there is a growing number for 1.5. Are there any features that set these 2 apart, or are they basically the same? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
it really depends on what you want to do if you will be using a good number of extensions check to see if that component or module is compatible at least with 1.5 legacy mode
I'm not an expert on Joomla but as many extensions are already compatible with 1.5 and the improvements in joomla 1.5 is a compelling reason to go with it. There is nothing wrong with 1.014, so if you have a site based on it, you can stick with it as well.
One of my sites is based on Joomla 1.014, but I am making a new website and I don't know if I should go with Joomla 1.5 So what you guys are saying is that Joomla 1.5 is the way to go?
New website building it groundup on Joomla 1.5 would be the way to go. This will also ease your upgrade path for future joomla releases. Almost all extensions (important/essential) ones are 1.5 ready. Wishing you the best.
