I am wondering how well does a stumbleupon traffic convert? Lets say on adsense or some CPA program which is just a free signup? Anyone tried that before? Also how many stumbles do you need to get decent traffic? Whats the most visitors you ever got from stumbleupon? Can your domain get banned for spamming or any similar activities like stumble exchanges? I would really appreciate and rep those who take time to answer any of these questions
I've found conversion for adsense to be less than from organic traffic, but it depends on the site. I can get anywhere from 200-1000 visitors from my stumble alone depending on the category. I got about 35k to a page in January. It was just a funny picture which got a ton of stumbles. Unfortunately, that particular page didn't have adsense on it so I can't comment on conversion. If you stumble a bunch of pages from the same domain it will stop you from stumbling more for a while. Just use common sense and some courtesy. In general, SU works great for content sites, funny pics, videos, etc. Many people say it's untargeted, but that's probably because they're trying to sell a marketing e-book in the Philosophy category or something. A couple of tips: 1) Submit pages with actual content. People on SU want to see something interesting. 2) Sales pages will get thumbed down into oblivion. People on SU don't want to buy your crap or sign up for your program/newsletter/whatever. 3) However, a great content page with a few eBay auctions can work out quite well. Hope that helps.
A social networking site is a site where people go to find others that share their interests. There is some advertising expected here; after all, they are looking for anything that matches their interests, and those sites help them basically advertise themselves. Therefore, SU users usually don't click on any ads. Depend. A lot of webmasters are using stumblematic or stumblebot and if you can get more attention from powerfull SU accs, you can catch the boat. More than 2k but the daily visitors from SU keep on decreasing unless i..... Not sure. I have seen a lot of people using tinyurl for this purposes.
hey, i am running a freelancer site, do you think it works in SU? Coz i really hunger for hirer's traffic P.S. I tried it on my arcade game site, it work quite well
During the holidays (november - december) of last year, Stumbleupon converted tons, however, since then I've seen few and far between conversions thanks to stumbleupon
Stumble Upon Traffic does not convert very well for me. But then again, while I understand Stumble Upon I do not know that much on how to effectively use it
It doesn't convert that well. Its the bulk over quality theory, lots of traffic and a small amount converting. So you get lots of hits but a lower hits to conversion rate....
I recently posted a post from my blog on SU and ended getting thousands of hits, but, no conversions.
I don't get great conversion from stumble, But then look at how targeted that traffic is. So it sort of adds up that this traffic is going to have a low conversion rate.
Well stumbleupon mainly works great with entertainment websites..If you website is related to freelance webiste than i don't think it works great for those sites but there are many other ideas to promote it.
If the article is good and people like it you will receive tons of traffic but they hardly return. Few weeks back I had written an article on my blog and next morning when i checked stats i had over 1300 hits to that article from stumbleupon.
@aaron111 If you don't have friends and reviews are done in crap way then you will surely don't get any traffic. I also got a lot of traffic as well had provided many quality ones in this DP.
