Religion is more than a theory its a well know way to bring people close together. Can science explain religion? Of course they can't! Go see all the miracles around the world. Go to Campbell Ohio to St. Joseph's the Provider. See the statues on the bell tower. Do they glow? Yes they do. Does the one look like it blinks? Yes it does. Can scientists explain it? No they cannot, they have yet to figure out why that happens and how it works. There are many things happening in the world that science cannot explain. Miracles happen, that's what makes religon powerful.

"they have yet to figure out why that happens and how it works." when they do figure out why it happens through scientific methods it will then be discredited as an act of god or some "Miralce" but up until then "Religion" will claim it as a miracle and use it as a means to keep the unsuspecting in the belief system. the fact remains that for anyone to believe in any of the crap written in any of those holy books you have to WANT to believe. religions make such little sense that no right minded person would ever beileve in it unless they are forced into it which is what most believers are. the current belief sytems are just another fad that will dissappear over time. the same as there are very few people that believe in isis or RA or Zeus or Thor anymore there will come a time when to believe in "GOD" will be something people will laugh at. i started laughing years ago
Referring to an example I used before, Scientology probably brings a small group of people together ie) tom cruise..but it is not really a 'respected' faith, laughed at more so. Religion has attained plenty of undeserved respect in the past.
Anything can explain anything, if religion can explain that, why cant the flying cookie god explain the reason behind goings-on.
I agree. Religions have a lot to answer for. However, what if you found out there were people who worshiped the true God and lived a way of life according to what the Bible teaches and conducted themselves in a respectful manner, bringing harm to no one? If these people existed, would these people earn your respect?

I doubt it, then we become ignorant people that believe in an invisible man in the sky. Unbelievers will always persecute believers. But there will come a time on earth when ever head bows to God. There will come a time when they beg him , but it will be too late.

exactly... when you give your worries to God, you find an amazing peace. You don't have to worry about tomorrow. You just obey God and he will provide.

I disagree... Religon is not all evil. In fact its those who attempt to lure or cause greif amongst others who cause evil. AKA the Extremists.
My responsibilities lie in obedience to God, within that obedience lies an adult life, within it lies all the rules and responsibilities that any other adult is expected to follow. but not just that, within it lies a moral life, a polite life, and in the end a righteous life. I don't expect you to understand that. You think we all came from nothing.
That's pretty much how I see it too. I have been relying on HIM for the last 5 years and it's amazing how many times things have happened just as I thought I would have to make some significant changes. To be honest, those who do not believe in HIM really have no idea at all because they are way too proud of their own intellect. In regards to this, what does it say about these kinds of people? Its because he knows there hearts, he knows they wont listen, they have too much pride, too much selfishness. Its like when Jesus came, he didn't seek out the kings or the wealthy, but rather the poor and meek. He knew a rich man would be too proud to drop everything and follow. They had too many idols that made them happy. There is a difference in happiness and Joy. Joy is of peace, and confidence, and faith. Joy is eternal. Joy only comes from the truth. A lost man may find happiness, but it will never lead to joy, it will eventually get old and fade.
Your worthless opinions are not reflected in reality. Have a look at statistics regarding prison inmates in America. 75% of all prison inmates are christian and only 0.2% are atheists. Compare that to the 15% of the general population who are atheist and you see that not only does your religion NOT lead to a morally righteous life, But it statistically means the exact opposite. The statistics regarding the prison population show categorically that an atheist is far more likely to be "righteous" and "moral" than you. this is probably tied directly to the fact that atheists are generally better educated than the religious, Earn more money and are smarter. Now let's have a look at divorse rates in America. Not only are atheists less likely to become criminals but they are also more likely to stay married. So much for your righteous morality. Your lack of common since amazes me, of course the percentage of Christians in prison is higher than atheist, believe it or not, there are not many atheist in this world, so you stats are totally inaccurate. The only way that calculation would be accurate is if ratio of atheist to Christians were equal, thank God that is not the case. Truth is 80 to 90 percent of Americans believe in a higher power. Nice try, your flawed way of thinking explains a lot to me about how you come up with your theories.
