Hi, i'm new and i don't want my site to be banned. I was just wondering if buying links is legal because google is very strict on link issues. thanks very much for your support!
Hello. Selling links is not illegal. Since you own the space, it is yours to do with as you please. Just be careful what kind of links you put on your site - stay away from any sites that just look bad. Buying links is also not illegal. Google shouldn't have a problem with it.
Google has been asking people to report paid links to them, some sites have been punished by google for selling links. Google devalues web sites for selling links, google does not condone paid links. You can read more about this here http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/how-to-report-paid-links/
Exactly, as IntellectToday and kingofsanda have said, its not illegal, but its something that Google is working after. The best way to go is get links the "safer" way, not the easy way .
google hates paid links and hates websites that sell links. better keep it under the radar if you are planning something similar..
If you purchased link for getting link juice than it is illegal. It will never helps you in such way.
Well, the good news is you won't get arrested and sent to prison for it so its not illegal. However google frowns upon people buying links becuase they want peoples' pr to be natural. I think its somewhat of a lost war though becuase its too hard to track. You won't be banned from google for this. The most you'll get is a penalty for a month or two. The chances of that are slim as well. I wouldn't worry about it. I've been buying and selling links for years and I haven't paid the price for it yet. Of course I recommend getting a second opinion so you don't blame me if you do have bad luck.
illegal seems abig word for it. No laws in any country have been pass rendering illegal to buy website links However, as said, Google frowns on link buyers. If your site doesnt need google to be successfull, you dojnt have to worry, but if you depend on G traffic, worry about it.
It depends on local state and city laws. I don't believe that there are any applicable Federal laws covering buying links, however certain restrictions may apply and batteries are not included.
No it's not illegal. But as Google considers it wrong mainly sellers get penalised. On the other hand Google can penalise any site for virtually anything - with it's market share it can rule and divide according to it's will.
Linik purchase is not illegel. But there is chance of penalization from google if the link is not good. So has to be careful to buy link
google doesn't penalize site if the paid link has nofollow tag. but most people buy link for the purpose of getting the link juice and that means without the nofollow tag. so when google penalize them they said google hate paid link.
It is not illegal but google penalize both the link seller and link buyer so never buy links neither any text link ads. Any method which is done to make google fool will definitely penalize your or ban you either now or in future but its certain that you will be in loss. So instead try to buy one way link not from the sellers selling links only but from the appropriate websmater of your industry.
No, It's not "illegal". It is against the Google.com's terms and conditions, but that doesn't make it "illegal".
