Build links for ezine article?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by chimaera15, Feb 29, 2008.

My ezine article just got indexed a few hours ago and it's currently sitting on page 14 for the main keyword. Is there a way I could build links pointing to the article to help improve the rankings? If so what kind of links would I be looking for? Thanks.

i think links in ezine articles can be a good way to publish links.

if your article is used by webmasters as their website content, then you are on the right path...

Interesting! I had never thought about linking to my Ezine Articles to increase their search ranking! Great idea :)

Why would you want to increase the SERP of your ezine article? I am assuming that the keywords/phrase in question here would be in competition with your own website. Submitting articles to places like ezine articles is great, but perhaps you should concentrate on promoting your actual website and not Ezine articles

Yeah, why you are thinking to get rank someone else site higher? Why not concentrate on your own site ?

ezinearticles is pretty well praised by Google anyhow and I have ranked highly for relatively competitive keywords by just simply adding an article there. I think the best advice you got here is just to add it to bookmarking pages and then sit on it. I wouldn't worry about directly trying to increase its SERP.

I usually write the article on my blog first, submit the blog article to all of the bookmarking sites that I use, and a day or two later I submit it to ezinearticles, along with a host of other article directories.

The main purpose of the ezinearticles submission is to drive traffic back to my own website. I make sure to include the link back to my site in my signature.

The reason why I would want to build backlinks and traffic to an ezine article is because the link in the author's box links to a landing page for an affiliate product.

It would be next to impossible to rank a 1 page landing page on the first page of Google, whereas an ezine article has a much greater chance.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions by the way. My article was originally on the 14th page and after a few social bookmarks over two days it's now on the 4th page. A few more and I should be ranking on the first page in no time.

Yup ezinearticles.com is a great place to rank for keywords, if your struggling to rank for certain keywords due to your own domain issues then I suggest writing some articles targetting various keywords that fit your niche and submit to ezine, wait for approval then use services from this site to promote via linkage or social means. btw digg.com doesn't take any submissions from ezine anymore.

Stuck for keywords then use: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/ it's free <",)
