Outbound Links - does it affects PR? Answer: Simple yes.. What to take care of :- 1. Add links to relevant sites with your product and content theme 2. Use no follow attribute where-ever possible 3. Take care that the site you are linking to doesn't have bad reputation ( use/caught for objectionable techniques).
At some point if it hasn't already, Google is going to calculate the quanity of outbound 'no-follow' links and use it as a negative quality factor Why would a site link out to a large amount of sites that it doesn't trust?
I suspect that using the same(identical) outbound link to the same external site on many pages will result in none of those pages getting indexed. I have about 40 pages with identical outbound links, and none of those pages are indexed. Yet, I have created pages(approx 100) before, and after those 40 pages, with either no outbound links, or with different outbound links on each page and they are all indexed. So today I have removed identical outbound links on the 40 pages, and expect(hope) they will be indexed soon.
Be careful the sites you link out to. I always stick to no more than 10 outbound run of site links. And I try to put in 2-3 outbound links to authority sites or higher ranking sites on the topic..
I have seen blogs with over 50 comments, and their all no follow, I highly doubt Google can penalize them for that.
No sure, but have heard a lot that less outbound is better. Large number of outbound links will have a little negative affect on PR
So what does "promoted it a lot these past 3 months" mean anyway? If, by this, you mean that you bought links, then either a competitor may have reported it to Google or they detected it algorithmically, that would explain why your site has no PR most likely.
Well, the links on your page will not have the same value, that's for sure, but i don't see how can damage to your page.
