Do Google and other s.e will rank websites higher than blogs ? Just becuase the fact that this is blog , they will treat some way different from website ? Thanks .
probably , no special treatment , but by using blogger you can get good in serps automatically in very short time this happened with me ,
actually its the opposite. google favors blogs more than websites due sa blogs have good navigation system and google bot can follow all links from the home page easier than it can do on websites. however, if you have a good navigation with sitemap, a wibsite can be favored just as same as blogs but overall, blogs are better
From my experience, my blog has always ranked better than my websites. I suspect this is due to the content management system within a blog tends to optimise it better than I do for my manually coded websites.
well, blogs are actually = websites. blogs = Web 2.0 static html, asp, all the other CMS stuff = Web 1.0
The most important part is blog system ( example wordpress ) automatically send a ping signal whenever blog owner publish a new post.

I think it depends on the niche. I noticed that some of my blogs are ranked higher than some sites that have the niche keyword in the url! Some niches are definitely ranked higher for blogs than websites.
it doesn't matter. blogs just get spidered quicker and rank faster when it comes to late breaking news. when it comes to getting ranked content and the amount of backlinks is what counts.
You can rank plain HTMl websites very well just as you can a blog - they can serve different purposes. If you have a content site then a blog will be more powerful for traffic. The additional pinging and categories and tags will assist. A standard keyword focused site can be great for on-page optimization and search rankings. Ideal for sales page sites or name capture.
I'd say blogs definitely. I used rss feeds on blogs linking to my websites purely to get the websites indexed fast. I'm soon to set up a 'store' selling cd's and I think I'll actually opt for a blog rather than a website this time, as there are now so many traffic advantages for that medium - technorati, digg etc - which websites seem to lack. So yeah, as zedomax said, blogs=future. Unfortunately.
I don't think blogs are going to replace websites as a whole, but definitely blogs are key for seo at this point
Yeah, blogs are one way to get your site indexed fast. My blogs are usually indexed in less 2 hours after I posted something on it.
