hi i have noticed if i search for something in google say a 3 word keyphrase it might have 40 million results, but if the same is searched in yahoo its got 715 million results. How can the numbers differ so much?
They are 2 completely different companies running 2 completely different algorithims, with 2 completely different sets of datacenters.
forget 40 or 700 Mi. , people only roam in the first three pages most of the time. who goes to the 40Mi.th entry??
Both are different search engines and both yahoo and google have different search algorithm, thats why you see different results.
They are 2 different search engines using 2 different algorithms so the results will vary from one search engine to the other.
The fact that Google has a considerably fewer number of results could indicate and prove that Google is actually more accurate and precise. That's probably why more people use Google. Google's like the best thing since sliced bread. I stopped using Yahoo about 5-6 years ago.
Clearly google is better at narrowing down the results. Google is way better than yahoo, thats why yahoo wants google to buy them, and not microsoft lool.
I did last week, I had to set up camp when I got there and only just got back. P.S. avoid #31,523,956, it's a doozy.
Difference is that a website is found included in different search engines. Also depends on popularity of search engine in a specific geographic location.
google show low result because his minumum page rank is higher than yahoo,it mean if any web page rank is very low ,that link will be count by yahoo but not count by google search engin
