    There is nothing crazy with it.
    May be he had money and so he purchased such laptop.
    Now-a-days, people are purchasing high configured machines itself, obviously rich ones;)

    It might be a little crazy/expensive now, but in a few years, that will be the norm. If I had the money, I would be ahead of the curve like that as well.
