Just give me a step by step post.

If you were poor as dirt like I am right now, what would you do?

What would be your 3 step plan, or something?

I am willing to give you 90%!

Is there a freelancing niche for drinking beer and staring blankly at a computer screen?

There is a wealth of information about making money online, dude...just do the reading, it's all over the place. Nobody's going to give you a step by step guide in this post.

You could start out by spending time on this and other webmaster forums, tons of info available in places like this...also lots of making money blogs that are useful.

What are your talents? Can you write? If so, start looking at options for writers. Can you create websites? If so, do that. Start your own site and make money off of ads...just do some legwork in learning how, stay motivated and you will make money.

Indeed there is ; it is called consultancy. And pays > $100/hour. You need to look good (smart suite, tan from 'skiing' etc) and be stupid as hell, but it works.

    Your step plan;

    1. seek out consultancy jobs at *big* company that we all like to hate, meaning companies that are known to never get anything done, like big telco's
    2. apply for the job with the highest salary
    3. show up in a suite, shaved with a tan and lot's of expensive aftershave
    4. bullshit endlessly about your vacations in - insert expensive, sunny ski resort or beach resort - and about your 'mates' from your student years
    5. when you have the job, you'll disappear in the machine; tell people you can leverage you brain time more efficient by working at home; sit there with beer
    6. don't step on toes, and you'll sit there till far beyond pension

If you are, by chance, a clever person, then have an icepick lobotomy first, otherwise you'll hang yourself after 6 months.

I agree with the poster who commented about freelancing. There are many ways to make money performing online services for other people. You could write articles, do some link building, build custom websites for people, etc. It depends on what your skill sets are.

I do hope that your quip about drinking beer and staring at a screen was a joke...to make money online you need to take action, but then, you already know that ;)

Yep, designing is the easiest way to make money, work on logos and banners first, then vbulletin/IPb and wordpress skins is where you make the real big money!

Dude, I think it's enough difficult to make money, if you have no any skills. Think there're two ways how you can make some money without skills.
    1. sport betting.
    2. ebay.

I would start freelancing as well, get good at php, xhtml and css and create templates for joomla or drupal if you get your skills up you can make a killing. You can then use this money to start a hobby site and make money from it.

All you need to do is use this forum. Don't read only latest posts, go back a little and you'll find a lot of useful information. This forums gives me so many ideas and tips I only wish I had enough money to realize them all. Good luck!

I started out on Ebay, buying designer clothes in second hand clothing stores, and then reselling them on Ebay. I saved enough up to buy my first domain, and membership site script. I worked my butt off for almost 2 years on it - and am now able to draw a full-time wage from it. You need to find what it is tht you are good at, and then be prepared to work.

If you think that you are going to get rich sitting around drinking beer, you are going to get suckered in by every hard sell on the internet.

Make a plan and then do what you need to get there :) (Ethically of course!)

Firstly I would not turned to drink, smoking or drugs. That will just make you worse off. I would sit back and thing about what direction you want to take your life and then start to plan it. If it doesn't go as you hoped then keep trying different things as something will work in the end.

Freelancing seems quite popular on here where people get paid to write articles, post in forums, etc.

You have to work harder if you have less money.
