Can we report this kind of threads?

    I've been seeing lots of:
"Want to make xxxx$ a month, bla bla bla just post I'm interested and i'll give you more details"

And then the user gives a referral link to some website, search or non search related...
Meaning, they create threads but cause they can't post referral links in threads, they provide it via Pm.

Is this allowed? Should we report this and forward this PM to the mods?

I don't think these quick fix money making threads contribute anything at all to DP. Sadly that's just my opinion and many will disagree. As long as they aren't posting the link directly in the thread then they aren't breaking any written rule.

We definitely do need something written along the lines of "No BST thread must encourage bumps by inviting people to post a response."

The BST forum and sub-forums have degenerated into that much of a tangled mess of ebook threads, Stumble/Digg threads and get rich quick threads it's difficult to know what actually does belong there.

CB the problem here is that they are kind of breaking the rules...
They don't post the affiliate in the thread, but they provide it in the PM ONLY...the reader has no choice but to click on that tiny url thing to see what this is about...
The details the mentioned turn out to be a referral link.

It's not the xxxx$ per month that bothers me, if that referral link spamming. :/

It's not spamming if you specifically ask for the info. The best course of action, if it's something you're not interested in, is to ignore it. There is no policy against using affiliate urls in PM's.
