    Be careful with free. I took a free hosting account at Lime Designs in exchange for a review and I had nothing but problems. Every time I tried to do directory submissions the servers seemed to be down. I had a few people tell me they wanted to check out my blog and of course they could not get to the blog. It took 4 submission of my site map in Google before they could get through to the server.

    Free is not always better so I would recommend getting a small paid account or use someone like blogger.com.

    My usual recommendation, 000webhost.com and also 110mb.com, these two are great!

    The best free cPanel host that I found is ej.am, but it is a post-to-host site.

    There is a post recommending 000webhost but with an affiliate link instead of the actual link, the rest are all a collection of affiliate hosting links.

    I think 110mb.com are a free host, not sure about cPanel.

    If your just starting out and don't require much free is OK. I know 000webhost.com is a good one I haven't tried 110mb.com.
