    Hi,

During the past months I have submitted my site (forum) to a bunch of directories, Social Bookmark and Blogs.
It's is a niche forum so things are going as expected.
The domain is 2 years old and I have a PR3. My site is not in English, so directory acceptance is low.
I have 6.240 links @ Google and 4,580 pages & Inlinks 3,140 @ Yahoo and I'm on the 2º page for the main keyword.

I now ... submit every day and post on every blog you found, but this is growing slowly.
I need some advices to boost my site to an higher PR.

    Thanks

    N

Higher PR is going to do anything for a forum ( unless you are selling backlinks ), you just need to build backlinks using your anchor text.

Forget about building links. You are spending way to much time trying to get inbound links. Spend that time building content on your site. The best links are the links that come naturally.

But with the same content and a greater PR I'll get a better position at Google and therefor, more visits. Am I wrong?

    Yes, you are wrong.

You will never have any decent content if you spend all your time link building.

You will have an excellent PR and ranking if you spend most of your time on building content.

Most webmasters don't realize this and thats why the majority fail at ranking well, they spend too much time building links instead of content.

I can understand the whole concept of "build it and they will come", and I try to take it a step further by creating something with the "viral" concept in mind. I then try to push it a bit to see if I can get that ball rollling myself.

Another question I have is, since most of my submissions are made in English, my keywords don't match with ones in my language.
This is the only way to be accepted into directories.

Should I submit articles in English too or in my site language?

If you know multiple articles it wouldn't hurt to post translations of the same article. This would be an excellent idea because you would not get penalized for duplicate content

I personally think you should goto Google [Spain/France/Germany], whatever language you may be targeting, search for "add url" and start targeting the folks that speak your language.

Another idea is to goto dmoz world category and start looking for directories.

Forget about PR it has little influence on your sites position in SERP. Build backlinks, remember to make anchors relevant to "title" metatag on pages you're targeting. Link not only to main but also to deep pages (as it is forum it looks natural if you link to specific threads). Target language in which your forum is run. If your niche isn't very competitive (+ language is not english) you should be soon on top.

Continue link building... Especially link to authority and high PR sites... Not to do spamming. :)
