British media had a deal with the ministry of defense to classify this info.
The news was actually leaked by some US newspaper.

I'd have to agree with this, did they really think they could keep this a secret if this wasn't the case?

Reports indicate he was in action. I give him credit. Most never serve their country. They just sit around and whine, moan and complain. He served. Kudos to him.

It is good decision, come on this guy will be the prime target of any militants, imagine the big publicity should any of the rival forces manage to capture him. I guess the other British forces have to be constantly on the look out because of this. With him out of the picture I guess the safer it is for the British forces.

    You don't know anything.

British media agreed with the army they would not say anything until he returned home or the information was leaked by someone else.

The information was leaked on foreign news websites, which meant that they were allowed.

It was actually the Drudge Report that sparked it.

    Confirms a few things:

    1) The mainstream media is supressed and only tell us what they want us to hear.

    2) This Harry's life is deemed to be of more value than any of the other soldiers serving in Bushes Crazy BS "War."

    3) The fact that the internet is very good for exposing the mainstream media for the utter sham it is. 15 years ago the controlled mainstream media would have been able to copletely suppress this, not so the case today with the rapid rise in how people get their fix of daily info. This can only be a good thing. The controlled media are losing their grip. :)

Harry's life is definitely much more valuable, this is a fact of life, imagine if they manage to capture Harry and put him as a hostage on the Internet in orange overalls. What would the British government do? Refuse to negotiate with the hostage takers? If I am the commander of the British Forces in Afghanistan, I would be sleepless every night when Harry is on the grounds fighting.

The propaganda value of capturing him far exceed any benefits he can bring to the fighting in Afghan, even if he is William the Conqueror, if I am the policy maker, I would have bring him back. It is not a matter of battle skills or strategies but the fact that he is in Afghan makes it too visible a target.

I completely disagree with you there.

Nobody's life is worth any more than anyone else's.

Just because this idiot was born with a silver spoon up his arse does not make him any more valuable than anyone else in conflict.

He signed on the dotted line and should be treated the same as everyone else, or he shouldn't have signed up in the first place.

What I mean by more valuable is because keeping him around may endanger far too many people. That is what makes his life more "valuable" per se. Not that he is more valuable in other senses of the word.

I would definitely agree that he should not sign on the dotted lines in the first place. I would also definitely agree that he shouldn't be send to Afghanistan in the first place. I guess now the British realized that.

Frankly when he was being send, I was thinking goodness NO, but compared to being send to Iraq I guess it was better. Still it must be a relief for the British commanders that he is being brought back.

Out of most threads somewhere comes something that is near the mark and the

    Mainstream Media

are just like you said AGS

For the guy who made a comment about my OP thats fine all opinions welcome

But lets re-affirm the scumbag Murdoch who owns the Sun is a control freak and as such needs to be exposed at every and all opportunities

He has now got control of the FEER Far Eastern Economic Review that has a very limited 20,000 sales per issue but is very very very influential in business commerce and politics

And they were going to run a story on Murdoch but when he got control of the WSJ the FEER came with the deal, the article was withdrawn
    http://gawker.com/362065/murdoch-mag-censors-anti+rupe-review
Welcome to the world of controlled media so I will not withdraw anything I have said and will continue to speak out against censorship by the freaks in power
