Your page looks very good! Intresting experiment, I'll be watching how this is going to unfold. People are saying the ringtone market is quite saturated, I hope you will succeed!
Ok I finally got my campaign started with a few adgroups. I'm really having trouble getting a good CTR right now. I need to find more relevant things to bid on I think. I also need to make sure I am going for the long tail so I don't pay too much. That means I will need to have a large amount of keywords to get enough impressions and see some progress.
Be careful - your CPC will go up if you don't start to improve your CTR. Try more ad groups with less keywords. Cheers!
Just thought I would update everyone with my progress. Found some good keywords and getting a solid 5-6% CTR which is more than expected! I got my first conversion within 10 clicks, ended up changing something and walked away for the rest of the day. Turns out the thing I changed ended up messing up the page and it didn't convert the rest of the day. Made $16 revenue... but the ads cost me $9.74. Still made a profit anyway even after messing up my LP! Now that I fixed it, i'm looking to make some really good money tomorrow. I'll keep in touch.
Islars, how many keywords do you recommend per ad group? I've seen somewhere that someone recommended using only three...so it would be as follows: rap ringtones (broad match) "rap ringtones" (phrase match) [rap ringtones] (exact match) And that would be all that was in that ad group. Any thoughts on how effective that would be?
Been working hard the last few days and decided to scrap these keywords. People were getting to my LP but just not converting. At the moment I'm working to find some new keywords that will actually convert! That's what it's about, just finding some good keywords that get you clicks and conversions. I'll make another post in a couple days hopefully after I find some good keywords.
what offer is that if you dont mind me asking? you can email me if you dont want to put it on the thread.
Success! Had a great day today. Spent $8 and made $30. I still don't have enough information to know what keywords are going to be good and which are going to be bad, but I'm well on my way. I think I might sit tight with these keywords and get things figured out, and then start adding some more so I can make some more money. Also, once I actually find a good keyword that I know is converting well, I am going to place it in it's own adgroup and make a custom landing page around it so I can get a better conversion rate.
