A single bank account cannot be used on multiple PayPal accounts. There may also be problems with the account holders name, so it would be a good idea to add your own bank account.

Well like I've already said, there may be problems with the name on the bank account matching the name on the PayPal account so it may or may not work properly.

Nope. You can't do that as both name must be match to withdraw through bank account from paypal (paypal accounts name and bank account name).

    DON.

Well, there is one way you can use your brother's bank account and that is to go to the bank and ask them to convert the account from a single holder account to a joint-holder account with both your brother's and your name on the account.

However, I would recommend that having your account is a lot better. Because people can change because of money. What I am saying is, I hope I am wrong, but I have seen too many friends or family members cheat each other because of money. If you use his account then he may treat it as his own money and spent it which he legally can since it is in his bank account. Even if you drag him to court, you will not win the case. I hope that is not how your brother is though.

yup, every one is right. You must have a bank account of your own. Its really simple nowadays if you are over 18.
Most banks open new accounts without the need of depositing initial funds. Good Luck !

I guess it is just different depending on what bank you use and what country you are in. I live in US, my husbands bank is BB&T. I don't have a bank account, so when I opened my paypal account he attached his BB&T account to it with no problems at all. The name on my paypal account is mine, the name on the bank account attached to my paypal account is my husbands. I have had this account for a year now with no problems, I have transferred money from paypal to my husbands account and vice versa. So I say, no, the name on your paypal account and the name on the bank account don't have to match.

You must be having a Joint account or it depends on which country People are from as you stated.

from bank to paypal / or vice-versa. i dont know much

but when you widraw cheque your name must match to the paypal account holder.

    Thats all i know probably.
