Hi, I am soon about to launch a proxy topsite, with the url www.proxy pot.com (remove spaces, not live). The site is aimed at teenagers trying to get around their filters at school, and I am working on a system to enable students to get a working proxy every time even if my site is blocked. Anyway, what are the best methods for promotion? I am going to work on SEO and Myspace / Facebook, however I know there are many more methods to promote with. Can anyone help me out with some ideas

Easy to generate traffic and revenue with them. They're always in demand since they're constantly being blocked by schools. The only downfall is that they suck up bandwidth. At my old proxy's peak, it was making $25-35/day off AdSense alone. Now if you have a network of similar proxies, that's a lot of money a month .

That's a good idea, however many topsites only allow actual proxy sites, as to avoid people like me stealing their traffic. I think that a good way might be to buy banner space on proxy sites that don't allow myspace, youtube etc. and have the banner say something like "Need myspace, visit proxypot".
