Unfortunately, I think that might be true. Even though I feel Google's PR is just going to continue and go down the drain on it's value.

 

Yes, you can make money without PR, depends on how you are monetising your website.

 

All these discussions are so intriguing, so you guys mean that PR does not amount to more traffic. I suppose higher PR means higher ranking in google searches, and hence more traffic.

 

maybe higher ranking but I dunno if that would be "a lot" more traffic.
There are sites without pr and are earning high money.

PR makes your life easier, but that doesn't mean you cant make money online.
However...for a blog, especially though, I find it hard to earn money. My blog targets relatively technologically competent crowd. Most of them...have some kind of ad-blocker.
so, in terms of ad money, I don't get much money, but in terms of traffic/return visits/possible other venues of money, I can hopefully get some money back later on.

Yup you can make money without pr as long as you rank well in SERPS. Some links that rank high have low pr.

 

But with PR 0, its hard to earn high paid post. You only get like 5 to 10 USD per post.

 

Yeah, even it's somewhat fun to watch my PR went up, I don't think PR is really important. Some of my site with low PR have more visitors than the higher one.

 

Yes, you can indeed make GOOD money with low PR My PR went down in most of the sites while my earnings went up.

 

if you are getting traffic then you can easily earn from PPC , affiliates ,Popups and lot of other methods , PR doesnt play any role in there

but if you wanna make money by doign reviews , then you need some PR
meanwhile i never cared about PR!!

 

You can definitely make money even with out any ranking. The question is how much traffic do you drive to your site. That is the most difficult thing for a site's earning potential. Once did you achieve that, then blend the ads with the content; if your niche is a high paying one, head straight towards the bank smiling all the way (to draw the money)

Well if mainly want to earn from paid posting and link sales ( and subsequently turn your blog into a splog)
then yeah PR SIZE DOES MATTER and sometimes PR matter in link exchanges with same niche blogs...
for the rest of the cases ......it's the traffic which matter......
if u have traffic you will eventually have PR too...
