Okay, I am so sick of my host and I'm ready to shop for a new one. I have six sites, mostly on WordPress, and want a Host with minimal downtime and excellent customer service. I have never switched hosts before (these are my first sites, and I chose hosts based on a poor recommendation.) so I need migration services. I want a host that won't become another constant headache. So far, the top contenders are Blueshost and ThinkHost. I'm afraid Blueshost might be too large to meet my needs, and I've already had some communicatuion issues with Thinkhost, who won't provide migration services despite offering a good green policy. Feel free to show me your offers if you offer hosting, whether it be your company or as a reseller. I'll even sign up though your aff link if you point me to the one I wind up using. My priorities: Customer Service Reliability Full modern CP/Apache model US or Canada servers preferred, however, not essential. I don't need warez or forum hosting at this time. Honestly, I usually have nothing against free anything, but I actually have already had a free host close my account without warning and move all the free accounts to paid. I don't mind paying some of the prices above to ensure that my business is valued. My sites are important both personally and professionally, so $50/year is a small price to pay for service.
Not many hosts use alternative energy. You mentioned ThinkHost in your opening thread. They are the most well know alternative energy host. Another one I've come across is gogreenhosting.com. HostPapa and Webhostingbuzz are carbon neutral.
