Basically I was checking Google today to see if my article was listed anywhere. I found another site who has taken my content and ripped it word for word exactly. My article on my site: http://pandemixx.com/2007/12/20/organize-condense-your-css-files/ My article on their site: http://blog.aminurrahman.com/2008/01/01/organize-condense-your-css-files/ I never gave anyone permission to repost this anywhere. Is there anything I can do? I have already contacted them about it.
http://copyspace.com is a good place to check if your articles are stolen. You have done the right thing by requesting them to take down the article, I do not know of any other solutions.
You can contact the hosting provider and tell them about a copyright violation. You can gather the who is information and sue them in a court. You can email them and ask them to remove it in a nice way. 99% of the time unless you have lots of money to sue them. You have close to a zero chance of getting it removed. The internet is structured to allow pirates, and thefts to get away with copyrighted materials.
You should have told him to post the first 2 paragraphs with a link to your original post so that you could get some benefit from the link. Don't freak out because someone is using your content. Come up with a way to make it work FOR you.
