You should be citizen of an asian country.

You can register your asia domain name from v2.eurodns.com for 6 euro with 6ASIA21 coupon code.

You still have to be from asia or have a contact from asia listed.
Some sellers like eurodns offer this for free.

I would be very careful with stating that to possible customers without really checking it up.

Godaddy and EuroDNS are saying asia contact is required, so is the registrar. It sure seems like you need an asia contact.

btw, not sure but for .us, was it not required to have an usa adress?

If you are not aware there are no actual restriction to register any ccTLD by ICANN. What ICANN says is that ccTLD is for that particular country. Internet is a world of freedom and friendship. You can monitor your server in USA from Singapore or Africa. You can do business to anyone in world from anywhere in the world. ICANN legally cannot restrict anyone. There are always 3 options given by ccTLDs registries. I will rather say 3 situations - 1. you are in USA, 2. You are not in USA but have an office is USA, and 3. You are targeting business in USA - if anyone is met you can register .us Same is applicable to all ccTLDs. If not, I could not have been able to register my domain damnx.us and mydomainz.us which still have my Indian postal address and phone number and same will be on my .asia domains :D

Oh, yes. my staff booked these domains in 2006 with my Indian Address and my support is so prompt that thet updated this record even without notifying me in 2007 when I shifted to USA due to some professional issues :D but this is not a problem. Phone number is still Indian and all past record of the domain shows that this was booked from India :)

Just registered qwhosting.us to prove my point :D

It is mandatory to have an Indian contact just like its mandatory to have a US contact when registering .us domains (atleast thats what it says when registering one) - but unlike .us domains, they seem to be asking for proof for registering .asia domains.
