$30 Avatar Design, ends Friday midnight

I like to get an avatar designed for my upcoming wordpress theme site. Site is still under development and not up yet. The avatar will have a transparent background (hope i'm using the right term as i'm dumb as brick when it comes to design) so that it blends in with any forum background. It will be circular as well so that when the avatar is used on a forum, only the circular design is displayed.

To show you what I need, below is an example.




The avatar will be based on the "W" logo for wordpress. I would prefer it to be multi-color if possible as shown above. On the image, where the white stripe is, that where the site URL will go which is ThemeSite.net. The URL will be clearly visible and easily read.

However, you need to come up with your own color combination.

I will use the same design as a banner as well so you need to submit the design in 2 different sizes. One for the avatar size and one for 200 x 200 (we might need to revisit this size as the site is still under construction).

thanks for breaking the ice and joining my thread. good work. i like the way you did the W which is what i was looking for and it clearly represents wordpress. the url is not clearly readable and font is too busy. avatar is my main priority and i need to be able to read the url without even trying. a different font and/or color combination will be better. i like you showing me both size and in solid and transparent background. overall, good design.

just to let everyone know exacly what i'm looking for is something similar to the top W on my post. if it was my design and not somebody else's, i happily use that design. the way the paint color is done goes very well with a theme design site. a similar design with different color combination is what i'm feeling for

@j0sh97, not really something i'm looking for. the "W" is not right and its too plain and simple.

@alexender82, thanks for resubmitting. to tell you the truth, i like yor previous design better . your previous design had all the features i need and the way the "W" is alligned within the circle is a real good work. i need bright multi-color combination which yo did a really good job on your first entry, but i'm just not feeling for the color combination thats strongly. so far your first entry is the best entry. hold on to your first entry for now and let me think about it.

@anidesign, again, i need the "W" to be of the same font like the one is used on wordpress logo.

@rkquest, you got the W font right and get the concept. but its too simple. i'm adding more comments below.

@all, i need it to be bright multi-color combination since it will be for a theme design site and the avatar/banner should speak for the designed themes available on the site itself. so it should have some colors and design element (not sure how but i leave it to you imagination). thanks again for submitting your designs. its the first sday and already started to look good

it seems like you submitted while i was typing. i'm glad that you showed me a different design. however, i have a set requirement and i will give you my reason for needing the "W" to be specically like the one on wordpress logo. a "W" can represent either a wordpress site, or a volkswagen site, or anything else. and the url itself cannot telll a visitor whether its a car theme site, or anything else either. by combining the logo like font and writing the url on the top of it will tell visitors that its a wordpress theme site. and i need the url to be sticking out as thats the message that will be highlighted and W will stay on the background tp represent wordpress. thanks for joining and submitting your design.

thanks everyone for continuing to submit your designs. contest ends tomorrow midnight and at this point i will provide feedback for 2 designs that i'm dead serious about. rest of them are not exactly what i'm looking for and you can read my feedback to other designs to get a better understanding of my requirement.

@scorpionagency, i like the design you submitted last. while the design is different than my requirement, i would consider that but it lacks color. multi-color background with URL being clearly visible on the avatar is the single most important requirement

@alexender82, real good work. i like the changed font and the way i can clearly read the avatar url. again, so far the best design. i like your color combination and how it is bringing life to the design. but the black edge is taking lot of color away from the design. maybe the design ending with the color circle and not extending to the black border will make it more colorfull? but you don;t have to do any update now. it can be done at a later time at the end if i select your design and nothing else comes in and blows me out of the water
