I am setting up a few gay clubs sites where club owners can submit their clubs information - almost a directory sort of thing. This is inspired from my site http://www.floridagayclubs.com I found a free template and played around with it and this is what I came up with: http://1coms.com/DP/ I am not a pro designer The problem is that I showed it to my gay friends and I was told it was too girly and that the use of pink is old fashioned. Therefore I am posting this project becasue I need someone to either come up with a different colour scheme / design for this template or perhaps a totally new one. I want the design to be simple and club friendly so it has to look professional yet attractive for the visitors to the sites. The colour dark purple springs to mind... Please post your drafts here for consideration and the winner will be picked and paid for the final profuct with paypal. Will we need to code the template, or only supply the design? Currently the layout looks more like a blog than a directory, is this basic style to be maintained?
If you use the exisitng template http://www.oswd.org/design/preview/id/3194 whcih I modified then there is no coding necessary. I had this template modfified so mine is wider and also can increase in height. I would like to use this template and not a directory specific template because I want it to look less business and more friendly and modern. Thank you

ok, here it is what i had in mind: > classy > clean > front forward > fresh CSS validated, designed hand coded by me, all files (css, xhtml, psd's, images) go to buyer, as usual. Sure. Both logo and/or headings can be switched to text, in fact, the best for seo purposes. Do you wanna see it with those changes?
