I think it is very rare in that part of the world, and in Japan it is very common...... I have other knowledge then computer too
I'm in Oxford. I was wide awake, lay on my lounge floor watching a movie, but strangely didn't feel a thing. Which i find more disturbing than the earthquake
Yeah i felt it, was a milder one for me though, compared to the one that i felt a few years ago. I just heard a few things rattling and the door to my bedroom acting like someone was trying to get in. The one a few years ago shook me in my bed, the earth moved for me then. They seem to come around the same time, round about 1:00am
Tell your mate I like his thinking! I couldn't feel a thing up here in Northumberland. Being unconscious probably didn't help mind you!
I'm gutted I missed it, I live about 10 miles down the road where the epicenter was. I was coming home from Morecambe on a coach and a guy just shouts out there's been an earthquake!!! A few people will be smashing up TV's etc and claiming on their insurance no doubt
Never felt anything here in Central London, although my lights did flicker for a bit. "We don't get earthquakes in this country, because we don't deserve them." - Al Murray.
That is terrible. I know how it feels cause we had an earthquake too in India. It was a solid 8.1 in 2002 I think..
Nope. The only serious injury i've heard of was from a bloke in Barnsley, Yorkshire, think something fell onto him and fractured his pelvis - his Yorkshire slum obviously couldn't deal with the quake!
Yes very bad news and bad new for insurers - digg the story here http://digg.com/world_news/Biggest_Earthquake_in_UK_Major_Payout_for_Insurers
