Google added a new feature to Adsense called smart pricing. Immediately many webmasters started to complain about how low the price per click was. So is Smart Pricing good or bad? I think it´s very good. It diferentiates between websites that make conversions from those who only make the advertiser spend money without making any sale. Now the big question: How can I know how good are my ads converting and how can I increase the convertions? First you can´t know how many conversions you make. Google is very sigilous about the data they provide to it´s publishers. In my opinion a good options is to try those new referral ads and see how many sales you make. Another way is to see how much you get per click on average and compare it with how much the advertisers are paying. Second how can you increase conversions? I think you can adapt your content or add some content to your site that makes the user pop out it´s wallet, for example, add a very cheap product or service the user can´t refuse. It´s easier to make a sale right after a previous sale. Hope you are making more € now!
smart pricing is older then me it good for advertisers and bad for us . BTW : who is sure that visitor don't clean his cookies before the 29 days and u miss a conversion that may protect you from smart pricing .?
I think it's worthless, because if a site sends clicks to a site that is a mfa site with no content there is nothing to sell,so how can i offer that site a good sale-rate??
Well, I had mega smart pricing on my account, but they removed it from my account today and i've 16 times the amount of profit i was currently making
I m currently effected by this smart pricing i dont know how long it is gonna last What is the publishers fault if the advertisers site is bad and doesnt deserve the conversation/sale but still publisher get smart priced
Adsense smart pricing should never be considered bad as it takes care of both the advertiser's money and the publishers' interest as well. Let me tell you a little summary about the fact. How do you feel if somone really new just creates a temporary page very well stuffed with keywords that attracts high paying keywords and then he/she goes for self clicking from different IP on the ads to make quick money, where as you have only single Ip to use and you are following adsense tos and earning a little at the end of the day. Obviously this experience is not very interesting to passed with. Thats why google adsense introduced Adsense smart pricing where it takes into consideration various factors before paying to the publishers if some one clicks on the ads. Few of the factors among them are quality of content, clicks coming from particular niche or general websites, age of website, conversion ratio and many more. So, its really good system that takes care of advertisers and publishers as well. Know more about ADSENSE SMART PRICING on http://googles-cash.blogspot.com/2009/05/adsense-smart-pricing.html
