Try to understand the logic between $0 and $800/day sales..

I'm making $800/day for 5 consecutive day, then 3 days nothing. It is going like this for several month now. What is the logic behind this?

I'm not doing any PPC, all organic traffic. Always see about the same amount of hops but sales are up down up down...

I don't get any logic behind this; For example, I know today will be a great sales day because first sales has been made.

Anyone has an explanation for this sales behaviour?

    Greetzz,

    Wiper

Thanks for the link but this is a really strange income...
    Something is wrong here.
For example, I know my site traffic is 25% lower during the weekend and it fluctuates but it is about that fiqure..

    CB sales are very strange...
but it is not my main income. Bless God.

    Thank you,
    Wiper

CB gives me a nice income but there's no logic behind it.
I don't use any PPC or advertising, all is pure traffic. But sales drop like i stop PPC advertising every 3-4 days. Common people, something is wrong here.

I'm primarly involved in online trading and saw big companies go bankrupt because of fraud, maybe CB is the next?????????????????????

Sorry but I feel like losing 1000's of dollars every month.

Excellent observation! I too noticed this, but never really put my finger on this. The problem is, everyone is quick to complain, but not willing to team up and keep on updating with finds like these. Or try other solutions to fix these problems. If everyone tried 1 thing, if it's cloaking links, cross testing with new CB accounts we may be able to get behind this thing.

Personally, It would be nice for a merchant with more than 20-30 sales a day to cross test CB and another processor, lets say Paypal. But I see no publishers chiming in(of course), and no affiliates posting new evidence as they see fit. This right here will cross out if it's on Clickbank side or hijacking is involved.

Yeah, no merchant will probably do this, but as affiliates we should try and solve this.

Or we can wait it out and see what happens, or just move to another aff network.

I've always suspected that consistent sales are only made on low-gravity products. When a product gets to a certain gravity level - other affiliates flood in with various techniques that lower overall sales. When I see my products gravity inching up - I almost always see a hit on the sales side within 7 to 10 days.

I have been reading here about this syndrome for the past one week .I feel it is like 8 blind men seeing an elephant. The crux of the problem lies somewhere in between. May be technical problems, Fraud, spyware or simply client behaviour. We do not know. I have been suffering from an exodus of hops and a complete absence of sales for the past several days. May be I still need to find the right product or right target marketing skills??!! Have you heard of something like 2500 hops and a single sale??!!

i get a similar thing for sales from one of my products..

constant sales then for 5 days straight nothing... then sales again..
i usually get the sales gap once every payperiod...

If i see a day go past and i have made no sales, you can bet there wont be any sales for the next 4 days

Thought I would jump in here -in my observations - I think the thread about CC precessing is the best assumption/research that has been done.

I actually DO have a few products that are on different networks split testing them - I'll say this: My dance product is on CB as well as NB, Hydra, CXdigital, ClickBooth and a few others - YES these other networks seem to have a better conversion ratio lately, ALTHOUGH some are showing much less too - could be bad affiliates with crap traffic, dunno, but the few that I am observing that are making 4-10 sales a day seem to have no problem with CC's...

Hopefully some other publishers can quantify, I for one am getting quite suspicious of the CC procedure and how they integrate it with PayPal, something is OFTEN NOT RIGHT... and my guestimation is that it is THIS very problem - the payment gateway, hence affiliates and publishers are both feeling the drops.

Are you literally saying you make $800 most days and then ZERO for days in a row? All from SEO traffic? I don't see how this is possible without something really messed up going on.

I am not close to making the same volume of sales that you are but I am also a mainly SEO person who has experienced very strange ups and downs with CB sales lately... I just can't shake the feeling that something isn't right. I just don't know what it is.

If you are going from 800 to 0 and traffic isn't really changing then there is a serious problem, I'd call up clickbank and see what their explanation on the matter is.

No, they don't. And they explain in the forum rules why they lock such threads.
