no changes for me although according to iwebtool toolbarqueries.google.com says I'm PR7 but other data center says I'm still pr3. There were times when I thought there was a PR update but after a day, Google toolbar returns back to normal. Maybe it's just something with the data centers.

I think quite a few of the datacentres must be down, or not responding to the pr requests...which is why we see such fluctuations

It's a PR6 your toolbar is probably hitting a different DC.

For those who want to see the new values in their Toolbar:

    On Windows XP

    Navigate to C:/WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc

Open the file HOSTS with Notepad, then at the very bottom on a new line put:

    72.14.255.17 toolbarqueries.google.com

Save and close, you will now be able to browse with the new PR values.

Some of my pages want up while others want down. A mix bag. A bit disappointed.

I think this might be the big G punishing people for directories, paid ones especially. They have given the Dir's PR0, and recalculated IMO

    What do you think?

And is there a technique to get the new values on a Mac?

    Cheers!

Yes toss it out the window and get a real PC lol

Nah try Apple System Folder:preferences and in the System Folder itself for your HOSTS file.
