anyone knows what is the limit that i can receive per transaction? say, someone wants to send me money via paypal - what is the limit? can he send $1,000? $10,000? or $100,000?

yeah, there is no limit the only thing is that you will have a collection charge. on another note the personal account will only let you withdraw $500 as compared to a business account. adding also the personal account will charge a higer collection rate then will the business account. so in the long run of it all the business account is the way to go, you save yourself in more ways then one.

Well, you just need to be sure that you have all the necessary business documentation such as Invoices, Contract Agreement and all that for the high dollar value transaction.

I am not sure about your country but here in Singapore, the accumulated receipt is SGD$12,000 and once you hit it, you will need to comply with the EU Regulation on Money Laundering. Basically your account would be limited until you can provide documentary evidences of yourself and your business. However, if you have proper documentation and comply with every single terms of your contractual agreement with Paypal, you be able to lift the limit.
