Hi, I plan to put a keyword for my main keyword search wish is pretty hard to get. I tried few times to put it on the footer so it will be active on all pages, for example 10k pages. I just not really sure if SE's can call is a "spam"
I have been using this method and have had no problems, but I also ensure of my pages have different meta tag info etc etc!

It won't have a negative effect. Google wouldn't penalise sites for doing this because it is a default web design. Look at all the big companies' websites and they link to themselves in their footer, take Amazon.com for example.
