What type of things can you advertise on youtube?
So far i have made videos leading to my site and some leading to direct ads like "free Ipod".
I was just wondering what other people are doing with youtube.

I think the biggest mistake is making a long 5 minute video about an affiliate site or instructional video, soooo "Yawn" boring .... better off using a funny video, edgy or action video - anything entertaining, people will still visit your site if you place a link in description. But if it's boring they will navigate away pretty quick - hence getting views, ratings and comments is pretty hard and in turn getting honors is so damn hard.

i did 20sec videos about something and mass uploaded it and in few days i was getting about 400visitors a day to my site =] i did 400$ at seddo.com in a month (and then they banned me) and 40$ at bidvtiser at 1 week and 220$ at adsense in 2 month,
but the problem is to upload them, you need to upload videos every and every day!

Can you suggest a good tool to edit movies for you tube?

Do you know a tool where I can insert text on video?

    Thanks

Yeah use Windows Movie Maker it's the easiest one to use.

Also place a live link in your video description.

I use Adobe Premiere CS3, and it has excellent quality. However, I don't recomend it for a beginer or someone using it strictly for marketing on YouTube, because it does carry a good $700 price tag. Newgrounds is also a great site for video marketing if you are good with Flash. Hope this helps.

On Windows Movie Maker select 512kb broadband when saving the video for the best quality for YouTube.

I made a 30 sec funny clip to my site. after the footage I inserted a few screen shots of the site. I got so far 6,000 views. We used Window Movie maker and its a great beginners tool for video editing. I think the the key factor here beside the clip is the tagging. You should choose converting key words that will attract views. you can optimize the tags anytime. Good luck :~)

Where does quality come into the equation? It's a basic editing tool which has more than suitable features for creating videos for marketing.

No need for ulead if you have windows.

I personally prefer Camtasia because there are more options to export video.

For people that don't want to create their own videos, they can montage photos or they can download Tube Hunter's Trial version, just do a search on it. That downloads other videos. You can convert to just about any format using Riva, then watermark with whatever editor you have.
