The new AdSense TOS

In Google Adsense TOS (#1):

 

The new Adsense TOS basically says that if your site doesn't earn more than $500 a month, you are banned for life, with no hope of reinstatement.

Just kidding. It's just a technical update and doesn't mean anything to most of us.

 

First i shocked, i thought banned from adsense

 

I was not shown any TOS

Well, it didn't showed up for me.. I just checked my account.

 

In my opinion I think google is going to end up placing themselves out of the market except for on low quality sites. I have a few entertainment sites which generate very substantial traffic and revenue but my clicks have gone from an average of 15 cents a click to around 3 cents a click and when you are dealing in thousands and thousands of clicks a month that is a very substantial loss in revenue from google allowing shit MFA ads etc

Very true... Adsense now of days is becoming a filler ad system, while more and more businesses start selling their own ads. Everyone is starting to grow up in business, and take things into their own hands. I think in the long run its going to create a strong platform for online businesses, just like magazines had at one time with their ads.

I think we all are, if Google wanted to look deep enough, we're all in Googles hands and no-one is truly safe ....

 

If it implies I can't sell ads well that makes it easier for me to make a decision if I go that route. I'll probably have to sell ad space first.

 

Probably they are reminding people about the terms of use. Guess we already did that on sign up, why again?

i clicked the remind me next time a few times and now it's completely gone i logged in and out and it's not showing.

i haven't click accept yet. maybe they assume i did ...

 

Here is what I think it means :

1) Lets say you own deadbrowncats.com, and use adsense to monetize your site's traffic.

2)An advertiser, browncatcoffins.com, runs an adwords campaign, and his ads are shown on your site, due to the relevant content

3) Google hates browncatcoffins.com and makes him pay 4.5$ per click.

4) You can not contact browncatcoffins.com and tell him "Hey, pay me 10$ a month, and I will just stick your link on my site permanently, screw Adwords and their 4.5$ per click "

I might be wrong, but I think this is what it means...
