793 other sites hosted on same IP address - Bad for SEO?

    MY site is one of the 793, my SEO question is:

    1. is this a bad for SEO just because of the number of other sites?
    2. is this a bad for SEO only if one or more of the other sites are seen as "bad" by the Search Engines?
    3. Is this irrelevant as far as SEO goes?

    It's bad only if you interlink them

    Think of the servers with 4k websites on them and many of them rank great ...

    Thanks, guess its not the problem thats holding my sites back (Grasping a bit). Looking for reasons that my first site in my link will not rank in the top 1000 for that anchor text, yet another page on my site with 0 backlinks ranks about 250 :(

    You can rule out keyword density! I just looked at it with SEOQuake and your site without a question is about those two words. I would assume that a mother load of sites are going after the same two words? Take a quick look at the top 10 or 20 sites to see what they have in common to get listed so high.

    Yip, thats what I have been doing, I have optimized it as much as I know how. I just don't understand what my other two pages ( ) that are not optimized for the keyword rank in the top 300-400 while my main page doesn't rank at all.

    I have an issue that appears to be somewhat related.

    I have PR3 internal pages while the homepage is PR0.

    This is a newly purchased domain name and the site is only 5 months old. Thus far SEO consisted of only free directory submissions and a few other pages that choose to link to me from their sites. homepage is indexed in the major SEs as well.

    I do not quite understand why it has been ranked like this.
