I thought the higher pr the better eg. pr1 is best, then pr2 etc etc

But i just came across a thread buying blog posts, the lower the pr the more he pays

    Is this correct??

The scale is 1 through 10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. So it's plain to see a higher pagerank would have more valuable than a lower pagerank.

I can't see any reason why someone will pay for low PR blog links better than high PR.:)

Higher PR is better than lower PR.

But when it comes to search engine results, Low PR pages can outrank high PR pages

    Why PR is useless ???

Higher PR means faster indexing and sometimes better position in search query.
    Please explain me your theory.

I have a site with PR2 on page 1/2 on google for about 6 diffrent combinations of the main 3 keywords.

PR has the sole purpose of keeping DP 'link sales' forum alive and kicking. :)

What probably helped is that the site has had the same content since 2002.

The higher the PR, the higher you can sell links on the site. It's as simple as a 1940's revolution.

He's wrong. The higher PR the better. Although be careful buying links because PR can be faked. Go for the inbound link volume. ;)

pider : Seling/buying links based ONLY on PR is dumb but then again why do i wonders since people still fall for How to make monet ebooks

As for why PR is worthless for the thrilion time

PR doesn' mean traffic rankings a higher one doesn't mean any change in ranking
Rankings is evrything rankings bring traffic traffic = $

    Period

Its important that people realize what PR is.

PageRank is Google's patent pending technology that rates the importance of a given web page. PageRank is used by the most popular search engine Google (among other things) to determine a page's rank on Google's query results page.

Incoming links are one of the most important components of gaining high Google PR.

IBL's are important, PR is not. It is merely the representation of those links which may or may not be accurate.

Go to any link-selling site, you'll find that the higher the PR, the more money the non-educated will pay. They simply do not realise that PR doesn't mean guaranteed top 10, hence why if you have a site with a higher PR, you can sell links for a higher price. Whether or not that is immoral, who am I to judge?

    1. I agree.... www.something.com is (very important) PR5  lol its now a PR4

    2. 100% agree as sites with PR0 can beat any PR5-6 in the search results
and easily be in the first top 10 searches and is dependent on content and
relevant back-links that point to it. ;)

    thx

Spider-Man : I know the story with link sales

But that's not my problem i just whant to make people uderstand
PR IS WORTHLESS and doesn't mean rankings or traffic so no money

Anyway i buy backlinks based on sites linkpopularity that's more acurate system and bether valued then PR
PR is google joke to see "morons" (i use "" becouse i don't whant to sound bad) see strugle for it and they have a good laugh :) when they see threads like this
