I have some low traffic names that weren't doing that great at ND. So, I moved them over to Parking Panel from about 5 months ago. They were still generating some rev. Not much but some. I had them manually optimized. That part of Parking Panel is kind of nicely done. I wanted to see if their touted autopilot abilities were any good. I think they suck. I've been flat for 10 days and counting! THAT'S TEN DAYS! I sent an email to Britt a few days back, but haven't heard anything. Has anyone had a good experience with their auto pilot? I am ready to go back to ND. Maybe just a few more days. I have 50 names with them.
Hi you need to manually optimize the keyword in parking panel. The autopilot mode has not done well for me either. Moreover it selects keywords which are totally unrelated to my domain name.
Autopilot does not work well with low traffic domains. Use your Namedrive "searches*" to see what people are looking for and try using the top keywords in Parking Panel for 3-5 days and see how it works. *Click on the domain in your control panel to see what people search/click on.
Nice tip. Thanks for taking the time. Nice to see another socal rep too PS...I just moved my names back to ND.
So with no response from Britt in like four days, I've moved my names back to namedrive. I'm too far out from the minimum payout of $50 so I guess that goes to help subsidize parking panel's shitty service. My overall experience with ParkingPanel.com: I think I made $25 in six months on about 50 names. I used both manual and auto optimization techniques. I placed both new names and old names and a drop or two. Namedrive pays much better than parkingpanel any day of the week. Flat for nearly 14 days - no response from my "account rep" and $25 on 50 names over 6 months tells me that parking panel SUCKS.
A majority are going through the same issues (with the customer service). I have a mini-rant about the situation as a draft on my blog, but I'm not going to post it. Frustrating the crap out of me. All I can do is wait for a response, can't keep trying to contact them since don't have the time right now! As for names doing better at Namedrive than Parking Panel... it's more of a test. Not all names perform the same with different providers. I have some names that just literally kill(ed) all other providers at Parking Panel... but lately... its been a joke!
I think one will be better off optimizing each domain on ones own. Certain templates do better than others. But the recent traffic as well as earnings drop @ parkingpanel has had me worried.
I want to update this thread with the incredible response I received from Britt...yeah, there was none...I sent Britt two emails. First asking for some advice on the autopilot program sucking so badly. And the next one asking why he hadn't replied in four days. I decided that my next message would just be a move from sucky suck parking panel. Can I ask has anyone done anything with parkingpanel.com (like even $25 a month)? I found that there were lots of searches and clicks but that parkingpanel.com would not pay. Anyway, I guess the point of this concluding post is that parkingpanel.com sucks for parking and even worse for customer service.
Parking Panel, in terms of revenue (forgetting my 3 week slump), has been very good to me. My e-mail responses have also been timely pre-February.
I am also using namedrive for some of my domains, but how to do "searches" to see what people are looking for?
It's in the settings section of a specific domain. Just click on the domain link > Click settings and scroll down.
I have found manually editing the keywords to be the best way to go as well. Has anyone else experienced frequent outages at PP letely?
Not really with the parked pages, but more with "logging in." I moved two domains from PP yesterday although they were great performers. I'm starting to experiment with different providers with certain niches, so if I find anything new I will try and discuss it on my blog. So far one company has been performing decently, yet I'm hesitant about their features. Only have 1-2 domains w/ them, so will have to wait for this months payout to see what exactly happens.
I've got no reason to contact parking panel. I moved all my names away about a month ago. I have yet to get a response to any of my emails. So I guess my question is why does parking panel suck so badly?
To be honest I was using ParkingPanel and it was great for about 2 months, as I got a payment from them the traffic for about 90 domains became flat zero. now I'm using ND, it's not so bad, but i dont like the templates and CTR isn't that good. As in regards contacting parking panel, just call them (it worked for me)
Parking Panel has run into some management problems (don't want to be sour, but I'm just speaking the truth), but is still my favorite parking provider. I just wish optimization settings (on their side) can go back to what they were early March... those days tempted me to move over a couple dozen domains... but I was hesitant. Overall very happy with Parking Panel, but they need some work. I definitely recommend them to people... they have done me well. Now to not get lazy and move over some more domains....! I can write a whole blog post on Parking Panel... the good sides and the extreme flaws... hrmmmm.. might just do that.
