Is it still good to invest and buy links in Paid Directories. I'm not talking about the small directories, I'm talking about the really big ones. Since Google is penalizing these directories, do you think it is smart to have your link there.?
Depends on what you consider a paid directory, if you referring to web directories that add your site faster if you pay a fee then no, this is still a paid text link. Now, if you referring to paid directories that charge a fee for quick review but don't guareentee listing those are the more viable candidates that Google wouldn't penalize.
Do you mind giving me an example of both kinds of directories? The point is what if Google Penalizes the Directory, is Paid Directories PR safe? Will they keep there PR?
The Yahoo! Web Directory has a $299.00 quick review fee, but it doesn't mean your website will be added. I can't really name any paid directories that have a fee just to be added, but it's real easy to tell when you pay a fee and your site instantly appears, read the terms of service of each directory you wish to buy links in.
Like someone else already said...just look for high quality high pr directories. Aslo make sure the sub pages and categories have high pr
http://www.joeant.com/ is another good directory to pay for inclusion. Also, try searching for a directory that is in your niche.. most of those kinds of directories need payment to be included.. those are good.
