i got a domain from my hosting ex-company selopry.com (aka selonet.com) which btw closed down (*darn financial reasons) thru brandon crowl. they set me up a reseller account to manage my domain and be as their reseller as well (*smart a**). Reseller Login my problem now is that i cannot seem to find my domain name in my own account and do some updates on dns/ip to point to to another host. have tried before & was successful searching for it. but now i really can't i sought help from my host and bost of us failed. fortunately, i think i got hold of the EPP Auth Code which i can use to transfer my domain name to another registrar. My Question: is there a way i can move my domain name at this point in time? i heard there's ICANN's policy that domain names can only be transferred after 60days of registration.
well he told me he transfered it already a long time ago. in fact when i checked, it was really on my reseller account. then just recently, we cannot find it in there. 3 ppl attempted to look for it but failed so that eliminated the "n00b" thing. so if he is able to transfer it to his account to mine, would that mean i can transfer it to another registrat without violating the 60day blockout period.
thanks for the reply. i dont think my domain has been hijacked as my site is still running quite ok. in fact i have done dns checking and it is still pointing to the right nameservers.
One thing is not clear whether you are talking about 'web hosting reseller account' or 'domain registration account'? If you are talking about 'web hosting reseller account' and your domain is not in your WHM then this can be fixed through root access and if you are talking about 'domain reseller account' then you have to contact Master Reseller. But 1st clear what are you referring?
that 60 days restriction is there only for transfers to a diff registrar. but you can push your domains to any directi reseller anytime. _
the short story is this. i got a hosting plan. my host set me up a domain reseller under him. he moved or transferred, or whatever he did, my doamin name to be under my reseller account rather than his. must be "push" is the correct term. the he closed down. then i got problems finding my domain name within my reseller account. hope it clears it well that gives me more hope. u probably know how?
