Can we just make another identical thread to replace the dead thread so it's not a bump?.. it's simply a new thread, or the 30th new thread and the other 29 are down on page 7 and 8 for example.

It's not bumping. I didn't see anything in the rules about this.

no offense, but that was a stupid thing to say, if i was a mod, then i would have followed you around till you posted a duplicate thread and then clicked the ban button on you.
If i were you i'd delete this comment before a mod see's it and follow the rules.

Hmm I noticed a guy/gal in site sales made the exact same thread three days in a row. If I can remember who it was, I'll hit the report button.

I think you are allowed to bump threads, but for a good reason, for instance if you are selling something I don't think the staff would mind if you bumped it once maybe 1-2 days later to see if there is any interest. But if it is persistant you have to remember you are spoiling other people's enjoyment within the forum too.

This is incorrect. I bumped a 'wtb forum' thread after 4-5 days and it was down on page 16 or so (really far down). I made the mistake of replying to it and got zapped.

After 4-5 days of not replying to a thread and not being able to make a new thread, then I guess we have to look for alternative DP competition sites to use.

My advice to anyone. Do not reply to your thread unless you are responding to a specific question from another member (who isn't a friend) or you'll get an infraction without question.

No one is forcing you to stay here, if you don't like the rules, don't join, simple as that. There is no 'we' to what you just said, some people just can't take getting infractions, they complain, and what happens then...they get infractions...then what do they go and do again...compla...you get it.

I haven't recieved an infraction yet (touch wood), I probably will do eventually, but it's only a slap on the wrist telling you not to do it. I guess it depends on the moderator.

I still don't understand. If I have something to sell, but after 4-5 days - my toic go to 6-7 pages, how can I sell it?
Can I create a new topic or bump old topic or what I can do???

I was just stating that your observation is incorrect. You said:

I wanted to point out to the readers NOT to try that because that is an automatic infraction without question... unless, of course it is missed by a mod. Obviously the site is big enough where mods don't see all the infractions being committed.

I think giving false information is bad for other members. Just because you have not received and infraction for it yet doesn't mean that it's not against the rules.

Again, your post was false and misleading. I just wanted to clear that up for the readers.

No, you'll have to find another source to sell it. The rules are clear, no duplicates and no bumps. IF you find a friend to bump for you, you'll both get zapped with an infraction.

Their seems to be no leaniancy to this rule, so I suggest not attempting it at all.

OK then, you're right, would you mind posting a link to the thread in which you commited the infraction please. Well technically I am correct by what I said read this, "The staff here had the final say on what is appropriate and what is not." - so it doesn't matter if you was wrong or right, the mod is always right.

You may not start the same thread every day or so and you must request your previous thread to be closed.
